The Authentic Period Look: Standard post-war vintage sockets were historically single units. Installing two individual units side-by-side offers an exceptionally authentic, high-end look that replicates genuine mid-century installations far more accurately than a standard modern 2-gang plate.
Premium eXalt Build Quality: Moulded from heavy, durable thermosetting dark brown Urea-formaldehyde, matching the deep tone and strength of vintage Bakelite without the fragility.
Symmetrical Design: Each socket features the classic low profile and elegant, gentle curves around all four sides, creating a striking architectural statement when paired.
Installation & Back-box Requirements (Important Note)
To achieve this clean, flush finish, these sockets cannot be mounted directly onto a standard UK 2-gang back-box due to the spacing of the individual plates.
What you need: You will need to replace your current standard 2-gang back-box with a 1+1-Gang Dual Back-box (available separately in our flush-galvanised or surface-mounted ranges).
How it works: A 1+1-gang back-box features an internal dividing partition and standard 60.3mm fixing centres for each individual single socket, allowing them to sit tight and perfectly aligned against one another.
Wiring: Standard ring main wiring feeds into the dual box just like a normal double socket, looping over cleanly from the first single unit to the second.
