They're ok once you get them fitted but if you're used to using MK products you'll notice the difference in quality. Case of style over substance.
Since this review we have drastically updated the product. They are now made of 4mm thick Bakelite far better quality than the MK product.
IT IS SMALL
Be prepared for a lot smaller than standard fixing- therefore tight to squeeze wiring behind- we had to put ours behind the ceiling. As well as having to plaster where the hole is now on show a bit with a smaller fixing.
That said it is a nice fitting which has a feature and style about it unlike the standard white plastic ones. Just wish they were a bit larger. Check your measurements and make sure especially if you have more than one light fitting on the circuit that it will all fit in a very tight space
Thank you for the review. The problem of making them larger is they won’t be replicas of the original 1940's version.
I do get your point, so we have since added the size of the product in a number of places on the listing.
Also added to the range is oak and MDF mounts, these compliment the fitting and can cover any issues you have with the ceiling.
